ABOUT OUR SERVICES

At the Brave Project C.I.C, we provide accessible and culturally competent services and support for black, Asian, and minority ethnic young men and their Guardians/Carers. Our person-centered approach incorporates creative and holistic tools to prioritise social well-being, emotional, and mental health needs. With a single point of access system and a self-referral option, we remove barriers and make it easy for young people, parents/guardians, and organisations to seek support. Our workshops and programmes are delivered by Trauma trained/mental health qualified staff. Our range of services and bespoke workshops cater to individual needs, fostering resilience. If you’re a black, Asian, or minority ethnic young man or parent/guardian seeking support, explore the services we offer.

MENTORING & COACHING PROGRAMMES

Tailored Mentoring:
Our tailored mentoring programme offers personalised support for individuals aged 13-30 with additional needs and their families. We take a person-centered approach, addressing a range of issues including accessing benefits, debt, training, employment, volunteering, and improving overall well-being.

Personal Development and Wellbeing Coaching:

Group & One to One sessions
Empowering individuals to set goals, discover their potential, and lead fulfilling lives, our personal development and well-being coaching sessions are available for young people and parents/guardians. Our coaches provide guidance and support, helping individuals explore your strengths and overcome challenges.

Personal Development and Wellbeing Coaching Sessions – Custody/Prison:

This 6-week group programme is designed to support soon-to-be-released men in custody. The programme aims to enhance personal development, mental wellbeing, and reduce the risk of reoffending. Through suicide prevention, personal development, wellbeing coaching, and goal setting, participants explore their strengths, aspirations, and challenges, developing action plans for a successful future. The programme creates a safe space for open discussions, fosters a sense of community, and acknowledges participants’ achievements. 

SUICIDE PREVENTION WORKSHOPS

Group Wellbeing/Suicide Prevention Workshop :

The ”You Know My Name, Not My Story” wellbeing/suicide prevention workshop creates a safe space for open discussions, promoting self-awareness, reducing stigma, and providing resources for seeking help. The workshop covers various mental health topics and establishes ground rules for respectful engagement.

Digital Therapy/Podcast :

The “You Know My Name, Not My Story” (Suicide prevention and wellbeing workshop/Podcast)- workshop is a transformative initiative that focuses on mental health challenges and support for BAME boys and young men. The podcast serves as a platform for sharing personal experiences, while the workshop brings the discussions to life in an interactive setting, providing valuable information and resources.

Non-Clinical Art Therapy :

Our Art Therapy sessions provide  a safe space for self-expression, facilitating self-reflection, and promoting mental and emotional well-being. The benefits of art therapy encompass self-expression, stress reduction, emotional release, and self-reflection.

Bespoke Workshops :

We provide bespoke workshops tailored to the needs of  schools, colleges, organisations, or workplaces, addressing mental health and well-being. We offer both online and in-person training options

SIGNPOSTING INFORMATION

We provide accessible and culturally appropriate resources for BAME boys and young men who are at a higher risk of suicide or have been affected by it. We offer signposting information to connect individuals with relevant support services.

CONSULTANCY

The Brave Project C.I.C offers an innovative and transformative consultancy package tailored to foster systematic change, uphold cultural competence, and champion equality and diversity. Our consultancy services align seamlessly with the mission to provide culturally competent mental health support and resources for Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) young people and their families, with the overarching goal of preventing suicide and averting future mental health crises.
