If you’d like to talk to someone in confidence about how you’re feeling, various charities provide free advice and support, including:
THINKING ABOUT SUICIDE? WORRIED ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE?
Be honest , tell them why you are worried. Ask them directly about suicide, “I care for you –are you thinking about suicide?” Tell them that it’s OK to talk about suicide.
Listen to their answer, don’t judge them. Don’t give them advice.
Connect them with a network of lifesaving support and services and remind them that talking makes them brave not weak.
Follow up, Check in on them, see how they are feeling.
Contact a helpline to get some support for yourself.
Take care of yourself. Discuss your feelings with a friend or a support service.
